It was imported by Croydon Motors in Christchurch in the early 60’s for delivery of Allenton Motor Services Ltd in Ashburton, then Daimler selling agents.
This Daimler has been regularly serviced by Allenton Motors and the late Bill Datlen. John Finlay Motors (Jaguar and Daimler specialists) in Christchurch have attended to all requirements over the last 13 years.
Wire wheels were purchased in 1995 with 205 tires fitted by Patterson Bros ChCh.
In 2006, at 73640 miles, frost plugs and front shackels having been renewed, cylinder head was overhauled, new valve guides and valves fitted, gaskets etc.
Always garaged and covered, this vehicle is ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES IN NEW ZEALAND
