The Rover P6 series is a saloon car model produced from 1963 to 1977. It was voted European Car of the Year in 1964, the very first winner of this title. The P6 was sixth and the last of the "P" designated Rover designs to reach production.
This is a Series II, which involved a number of revisions to all Rover P6 variants. It included new exterior fixtures such as a plastic front air intake (to replace the alloy version), new bonnet pressings and new rear lights.
This car is a bit different. It is equipped to a higher standard with factory AIR CONDITIONING. We understand that this was a time when Rover tried to enter into the American market but these cars were not popular with American buyers and were sold in Europe instead.
It has a more advanced and very neat music system with amplifier and Pioneer speakers, which as we understand was a special order at the time when the car was new.
This car is in MINT condition and drives VERY WELL. Recent work on this car include new rings, bearings, valves all refaced, , new gasket set, rear heater hose, timing chain etc. All bores are in excellent condition. New Battery. Radiator cleaned out, serviced & reinhibited.Car was retuned, oil changed etc – all professionally done.
Car traveled approximately 500kms since overhaul – we would suggest 1000kms for full ‘run in’ period.
Interior is in EXCELLENT condition – Leather Seats.
Body & Paint in EXCELLENT condition throughout.
