The Simply Classics Charitable Trust Great NZ Classic Car Search

Our Partnership Statements

Simply Classics

At Simply Classics Limited, it was decided shortly after the business purchase in April 2010 that we wanted to full fill some of our life’s dreams. One of those dreams to assist those providing for the neediest. We identified these two very special trusts to be benefactors of our trust, The Simply Classics Charitable Trust. It is our belief that this innovative fundraiser could well produce profits in this first project exceeding $50,000.00 but in reality the sky is the limit. It really depends on the cars that are put forward for restoration by the New Zealand Classics Car community. We certainly have the restorers here in New Zealand to complete the work to the highest standard anywhere in the world. It gives us great pleasure and is very humbling to be involved in the initiation of this unique fund raising venture for these two very special organisations. I can guarantee you it will not be for lack of passion, drive or enthusiasm for us to exceed our budget expectations.

Ronald McDonald House

Facing a serious illness is hard enough, but if you are a child and far from home, it can be confusing, frightening and lonely as well. Having family around is a must! Many families coping with a seriously ill child and trying to meet the demands of other family members also have to deal with the difficulties of staying in an unfamiliar city. It can be overwhelming. That’s where Ronald McDonald Houses help, easing some of the practical worries. By providing a home away from home in a positive, supportive environment, families can concentrate on their child’s recovery. That is why the Ronald McDonald Houses are known as ‘the House that Helps to Chase the Clouds Away’.

CanTeen

CanTeen is excited to be part of the Great NZ Classic Car Search – what a cool concept! CanTeen mission is to support, develop and empower young New Zealander’s aged 13-24 yrs living with cancer as patient, sibling or bereaved sibling. And we’re thrilled about the prospects of this wonderful partnership with the Simply Classics Charitable Trust, where funds raised will assist many young people through the toughest times of their life. At the core of the CanTeen philosophy is the concept of peer support – people who have “been there done that” supporting others when they need it most. There is a nice parallel in this project where the people with the knowledge and expertise in the classic car community are coming together to succeed in this challenge to ultimately support others. We look forward to seeing this challenge progress over the coming months and being part of Simply Classics team!
